I have been thinking a lot lately about how I could challenge myself to be a better mother. I have just been feeling like I have been saying the boys' names over and over lately and no one is listening, so obviously I am going about something all wrong. I feel like this comes in stages and I know it goes through stages with the kids too. I am going to try really hard for the next week, to only say positive things to all of the boys and see if that works. Please keep me and the boys in your prayers and help me to be a more positive Mommy!(at least for a week) =)

My Mamaw and Papaw live in Carthage and have a big farm. I loved going there when I was growing up and I spent a lot of time there as a child and I still love to go and do go as much as possible. Several years ago they built a new barn that is opened on both ends and since then has become the party barn! My cousin has had many birthday parties there and it is equipped with a fort and fireman's pole under the barn and a big playground outside. There is a concession stand and an outhouse! In the past year they decided to add on a living area and get it plumbed and run more electricity down there. Now it has bunk beds and 2 other beds. It has 2 big bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and a big dining room with 2 tables and a working kitchen. I mean someone could really live there. My Mamaw is 78 years old and she asked my if I would bring the boys to spend the night with her at the Party Barn before they went back to school. So of course I said Yes! I could never tell her no. We had the best time. First we got on the Mule(not the horse type animal) it is a motorized vehicle! Mamaw wanted to show the boys the "Big Pond" because the beavers were cutting down trees and she thought they might like to see that! Then we had to find some old dead wood that would be good for our fire. When we got back we started a fire and got busy cooking weiners for hotdogs. Then after we ate, we sat around the fire and told stories! It brought back a lot of childhood memories for me because she used to do these things with me too only minus the Party Barn. The boys had a great time and Mamaw did too!
